Faculty of Engineering

ENGGEN 299 - Workshop Practice

All Part II students must attend an approved workshop practice course in 2018 before being able to enrol in Part III courses. Approved courses are held at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) throughout the year, and also at the Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT).

All Engineering students are required to have completed, to the approval of the faculty, a recognised course in Workshop Practice (ENGGEN 299) prior to enrolling in Part III courses. This is a compulsory component of the Engineering degree and students who fail to complete the course (unless exempt) will not be eligible to graduate.

Class schedules are published below. Your classes must not clash with any of your other academic courses.

Exemption

You may be exempt from attending the workshop practice course if you provide documentary evidence that you have already attended a similar course elsewhere. If you think you may be eligible for an exemption please contact the student engagement team. If you need more information, you can contact foe-enquiries@auckland.ac.nz.
