Cost of printing

Type Cost
Black and White A4/A3 10 cents per page
Colour A4/A3 20 cents per page

Note: A print job set to black and white but retrieved from a colour device will be charged at the BW rate.

Print and hold vs Direct print queues

If you elect to print to a queue called CAPS BW Printing - ENG3 or CAPS Colour Printing - ENG3, then you can walk up to any print device with either a swipe card reader or Omega terminal, swipe your ID card and select your jobs to print. These devices can be found in many locations all over the Engineering faculty and also in the Info Commons.

If you print to queues with room numbers specified in the name, then your print job will print out at specific printers without having to swipe your ID card. Examples are Colour Direct Print 401-301-cd or B&W Direct Print 401-301-cc.
