Faculty of Engineering

Are you up for the....

ChallENG logo

Be prepared for your skills and knowledge to be tested in ways you can't begin to imagine!

What is the ChallENG?

ChallENG is an event created to allow Part II students, HODs and Professional staff to face off in competition with some engineering related fun activities. Championed by the Dean of Engineering, the faculty has created a series of competitions which happen once a term in the Faculty of Engineering.

Each of the competition themes has been masterminded and designed by one of the departments, but will not necessarily advantage any team in particular!

The events will pose some quirky and sometimes left field engineering challenges that require quick thinking, innovative solution ideas and team work.

It’s a great opportunity to have some fun, make a mess, and show the rest of the faculty that your department team has what it takes to win!

Whilst student teams are restricted to Part II only, we're sure you'll want to come along to support your team and watch the fun unfold.

So, are you up for the ChallENG?

Teams

The competition consists of eight teams of five members. Teams comprise of:

  • Part II students - one team from each engineering department.
  • Heads of Department team.
  • A professional staff team.

If you are interested in getting involved, joining a team and representing your department, get in touch with your Part II rep as soon as possible.
