Call for abstracts
The Third Mechanical Engineering Postgraduate Conference (MEPC 2017) will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the University of Auckland. This conference brings together postgraduate students in the University's Department of Mechanical Engineering to present and discuss their research.
There will be two presentation categories: 10 minute presentations and 3 minute presentations. The 10 minute presentations are aimed at post provisional year PhD students and the 3 minute presentations are aimed at provisional year PhD students and ME students.
The conference will be broadly categorised into the following topics:
- Composite materials
- Bio/medical robots/devices
- Natural fibre composites
- Robot-assisted rehabilitation
- Dynamics, acoustics, control systems
- Smart manufacturing
- Smart materials/micro-systems
- Engineering design/management
You are invited to submit a 300 word abstract to email@example.com. Please indicate your topic and if it is a 10 minute or 3 minute presentation.

Venue and registration
The conference will be held at 303-G01 and 303-G02. For catering purposes, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by 10 April to register.
All PhD students are expected to participate and present their research at MEPC 2017. If you can’t participate, you are expected to discuss this with your supervisor. ME students are encouraged to participate too. ME, MEngSt and Part IV students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering are welcome to attend the conference.
