Choosing your Part II specialisation

Towards the end of their academic year, Part I Engineering students are faced with the task of nominating their preferred specialisation for the rest of their degree. Here are some useful resources to help you with this decision:


1. Academic information and forms

Our engineering specialisations page contains all the necessary academic information about specialisations, their requirements and placement procedures, and will you an overview of the formal process. Your online application form for your chosen Part II specialisation will also be available here from 12 October


2. Industry specialisation evening

6pm on Monday, 25 September at Building 303 (The Science Centre) MLT1 and PLT1 (ground level), 23 Symond Street

Registrations are essential for catering purposes

4. Part II student editorials

Our Part II student editorials offer insights into each specialisation from your peers who have experienced them. Each student is currently going through their Part II journey, and their blogs contain thoughts on not just the subject areas, but also the unique student life associated with each specialisation. You may also find plenty of advice that will be relatable to Part I students, so read on!
