Erasmus + global mobility grants for staff and doctoral candidate exchanges

Erasmus + Global Mobility

Erasmus + International Credit Mobility with Partner Countries, also known as ‘Erasmus + Global Mobility’ refers to the mobility of students & staff between European higher educational institutions and non-European (bilateral) partners.

 

Staff and doctoral student exchanges

The Intelligent Cybernetic Systems Research Group (IKS) at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) in Slovakia has Erasmus + Global Mobility funding to support the exchanges of PhD students and staff with the University of Auckland's Laboratory for Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing Systems (LISMS).

The aim is to exchange research, teaching and training experiences on common research topics between IKS and LISMS, including Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, Cyber Physical Systems, Artificial Intelligence in manufacturing, and more.

 

Available positions

Three outgoing positions for students and staff at the University of Auckland are available:

  • 2 staff (teaching/training) positions for 12 day exchanges
  • 1 PhD candidate position for a 90 day exchange

The travel and accommodation expenses of these exchanges will be covered by the mobility study grants funded by the European Union.

 

Intelligent Cybernetic Systems Research Group (IKS) at TUKE

The Intelligent Cybernetic Systems Research Group (IKS) and its laboratories are part of the Applied Cybernetics Center of the KKUI FEI, Technical University in Košice. Its laboratories are mainly used for the practical implementation of bachelor, diploma and dissertation theses, research tasks and cooperation with practice.

The general research focus of the IKS is the real-world solutions of applied informatics and cybernetics with the support of Artificial Intelligence. The main research topics include Industry 4.0 architecture, Smart Manufacturing, intelligent network systems, machine learning, big data, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), information portals, real and historical databases and informatics.
